Museum and Shoes

There was a museum visit for the international students in Poitiers.  The mayor was going to speak and it was going to be at the town hall.  Plus I was told there would be free French food.  Yea buddy.  So I headed out that morning to look for the town hall.  When I happened to walk by the sushi restaurant.  Yes I know I would never ‘happen’ to walk by a sushi restaurant.  But I figured I didn’t want to look like a pig in front of the mayor right????  So I went in for a bit.  I only ate one roll but I was so happy!  I love sushi!

Then I headed to the town hall.  Can anyone imagine living here?  Look how elegant! I bet the mayor doesn’t have kids.  I found a stain glass window and had to wonder…. What is that guy telling his daughter while pointing at the dogs? 

 

 

There was live music playing here too.  You wouldn’t believe the crazy range of sounds an accordion can make!

Then we all packed up in a bus and headed to the museum.  The showing was by a Japanese artist who photographed self-portraits of people by their shoes. 

 

Sounds very poetic and neat but really it wasn’t my thing.  I got bored quickly and decided to do my own photograph.  The rain is a special effect!
