Event Day x3

Today was event day!

1.  I represented my university at the “Going Global” event and it was a smash hit!  This is our stand.

Then I decided to play a game to get people excited about FMU.  Take a packet and get a picture wearing the hat.  It made people interested in what was going on in the corner of the room.  Here are just some of the hat pictures I took.

2. Little did I know that after the “Going Global” event was over that there was another event going on! This one was “Woman’s Day”.  It was started in the 1960’s in honor of women’s rights in France.  It’s celebrated every 8th of March and it reminds both woman and men that they are equal. 

This year pink balloons where going to be released in Poitiers.  For 1€ you could by a balloon and write the name of the women that inspired your life.  My balloon said Mom, Joy, Bram, Maw-Maw, Kay, Leslie and Maxine.  All the proceeds went to a shelter that provides homes for women and their children. 

3.  So I was heading home and noticed that the streets where littered with streamers and confetti.  What in the world was going on? 

The Carnival!  It’s a three day event full of pranks, costumes, music and craziness! 

I took a picture of some clowns for my Bram.  But really I’m going to have nightmares for weeks.
