Touring Tours 2

Next stop Cloitre de la Psalette also known as Saint Gatien’s Cathedral.

Build between 1170 to 1547, it was classified as a Historical Monument in 1862.

The organ was donated by Archbishop Martin de Beaune in the 16th century.

The tomb of the children of Charles VII and Anne of Brittany in 1506.  Seven little babies in all.  Only one reached the age of 3 and the others died as infants.  They had 4 boys, 2 girls and one child that was too young to determine its gender.

There was also magnificent stain glass that lined the upper floors.

Then I saw a familiar statue.  I’ve been searing to figure out who this person was and now I finally know.  This is Saint Anthony, the saint of lost things.  He is supposed to help you find anything from your lost keys to bringing back your lost job or bring your family member that you miss back to you safely.  I’m glad I found him.  I was losing my mind with this mystery!

For a small fee you could go into the court yard of the Cathedral.  Going out here was like winning the Gargoyle Jackpot!

Then I passed by St Julien but the door was shut and I couldn’t go in.

So I swung around the corner to the Musee du Compagnonnage.  This place was really neat.  They had gadgets and gizmos!  I didn't know what some of the things were.

My favorite thing would have to be the food sculptures!  I a cake like these!

Got hungry so I stopped in at the town’s center.  It’s called old town because of the wood and brick houses here.

Then I went to the house of the dead… I mean Museum d’History Naturelle.  There were a lot of dead animals that had been stuffed.  They even had a few cats that made me want to cry.

But not everything in the museum was dead!   They had many creepy crawlies that where alive and well.
